The 2007 Barons Shiraz shouldn't be this good. It is already silky with great balance and firm acidity.

The shiraz was sourced form all corners of the Barossa and came from the Baron cellars of Peter Lehmann, Elderton, St Hallet, Bethany, Henschke, Orlando, Yalumba, Grant Burge, Charles Melton, Glaetzer, Haan and Irvine.

It has a lingering intense fruit flavour with hints of cherry, red currant and raspberries. Like all great Barossa shiraz it will enjoy years of cellaring and you will enjoy the results.

The 2006 Barons Shiraz is a unique blend of all the premium "micro" areas of the Barossa stretching from the fine vineyards of Eden Valley to Lyndoch and north to areas such as Ebenezer.

Barons from Bethany Wines, Elderton, Grant Burge, Glaetzer, Henschke, Peter Lehmann, Orlando, St Hallett and Yalumba contributed premium fruit to produce this great wine. The 05 and 06 Shiraz wines are truly unique and extremely rare. It is unlikely that any shiraz has ever been blended from such a diverse and indeed highly respected group of Barossa winemakers.

The 2006 Shiraz has a powerful aroma of liquorice spice and richness of berry fruit with a superb rich palate of balanced oak, intense fruit and velvety tannins. It is very drinkable at release but some bottle age will centainly reward.
