| 37 degrees was forecast and the worst was feared. But someones prayers must have been answered for the day dawned and presented new perfect weather for the annual Declaration of Vintage. Lots of colour, the vintage wine trucks and the Tanunda Town Band made Murray Street, Tanunda the place to be. Wayne Dutschke was made the 2010 Winemaker of the Year and he responded with an emotional and heartfelt thanks to the community. Robert Seelander was named Vigneron of the Year and this proved to be a popular choice. The late Baron Galvin John was honoured with a bronze footpath plaque which was unveiled by family members and Baron Louisa Rose presented her eagerly awaited report on the 2010 vintage and it had some very interesting things to say.
Finally, the seasons grapes were crushed, the juice sampled by all and the 2010 vintage was declared.
